Honda CRV Niggles

Just purchased a 57 reg CRV 2.2 i-CTDI
Two little niggles I hope a forum member may be able to help me with.
1.Clutch pedal (when depressed and released)sounds like the return spring is rubbing against something....very annoying.
2.When on full lock(forwards only)seems like engine is stuggling to turn the wheels and can feel a lot of resistance.(Maybe an oil change
needed)?
Maybe someone on here can help please?
Its done 76,000 miles and has a full Honda dealer service history from new.
Many thanks.
Adrian

Cannot help with the clutch but CRV have a need for the diff oil to be changed at 25k intervals as I understand there are drive plates that can cause these symptoms. My son had his done last year and the main dealer did the work which involves a bit more than just changing the oil. It was then as good as new. If you look on the web I am sure you will find a far better description than I have given.
Try this one on YouTube:

it comes under CRV shudder and noise

Hello

I can offer comment on the clutch pedal but not a solution or reason...

I had a 2006 56 civic which did exactly the same, it happily carried on without issues.

Many thanks for both of your replies.
Going to book it in at Honda over the next few weeks to have an oil service and hopefully sort out the clutch problem.
Its more annoying than anything really.
Thanks again.

Just a quick update on CRV.
Collected it on Saturday from Honda dealers.
1.They fitted a new "Pedal Box Assembley"(Part of the kit was a new master cylinder) and now the clutch pedal feels perfect. No squeeks at all.
2.They flushed out the front differential oil 3 times and refilled with fresh fluid.Steering now feels fine.
3.They also noticed that the brake fluid had not been changed for over 3 years and was showing signs of contamination.
Hopefully now,the car is up together and ready for our next trip away to Warcombe Farm(Woolacombe)in September.
Thanks for the replies once again.
Ade.
