Hook Up`s in France

Generally on the continent its a good idea to take a continental adapter as well as the CEE 17 plugs on your UK lead. You can get this at British caravan dealers. Take also a male/female connected plug on which the +ve and -ve wires are reversed in case the polarity is also reversed. If you don't know how to do this see an electrician. You will also need to buy at your dealers a Mains Tester to make sure the polarity is correct for your use.

Andy, yes you can use your hook-up, without any problem although you may need to use an adapter (easily obtainable from your local caravan store) as not all sites use the same sockets that we do in the UK. One thing to watch out for - the French aren't too fussy about the polarity of their hook-ups and you could find yourself having live juice going into a "switched off" appliance, so I'd recommend buying a polarity tester and a 2nd hook-up plug which has the wiring reversed to allow for this - make sure you lable it clearly! Have fun
