Been to Stanwix Park a few times, the area around is a bit remote it depends what you are looking for. Stanwix is such a good site you dont need to go anywhere, but if site seeing and shopping is your preferance then visit Maryport (the aquarium is nice), Cockermouth, Keswick, Workington and Carlisle are all within easy travelling distance.

Are you the Graham who has the Dethleff's? We're just waiting for ours. We like quiet sites, and this CL is adults only, and in a small village, so sounds good to us.
