Hose pipe ban

hi all as you may all of read yesterday i was asking for advice on what to do about pressure washers during a water ban.

after i posted yesterday i got in touch with three valleys and the offical line is from them that the use of a pressure washer on a caravan is permitted because its not classed as a motor vehicle or a moving vehicle, so anyone that has a motor home is banned from using a jet washer, but if you have a static home or a tourer you can use it, my advice is this , if you are to use a washer use only when needed do the lion share with a bucket and brush.

thanks to all yesterday for all your input re my washing problem and you be pleased to know my nightstar is sqeeky clean.

I would never use a presure jet on our van. Even a hose pipe I only use at low presure to rinse the soap off.

Thames water state on thier website "the ban includes any vehicle drawn by a private motorcar". So a Caravan can not be cleaned by a hose or pressure washer. However the ban is only for domestic customers so I take my caravan to a nationwide car wash establishment called arc and use thier jet wash.
