Don't know if anyone else takes their rabbit on holiday but our bunny would cry if he was excluded .He is for us the ideal pet on holiday--he is house trained and uses a toilet tray and walks happily on lead and harness.

He has just returned from a holiday in the UK and has made it clear that being back at home in France is just great--he did like the holiday we think and he adores our grandchildren.

So 10/10 for rabbit owners if there are any others out there.

Brilliant--thanks to all concerned.
The shots were at Oropesa in Spain in January--the one in the awning shows Scrap on HIS chair.

Rabbits are very easy to house train and are interesting on a harness and lead.In the way that THEY decide where you are going on the walk. Not as bidable as a dog but great fun.
You do have to have a regard for electric cables and expensive shoes:and handbags but they are so affectionate and such family members that a few chews can be forgiven; LOl
Looking forwards to many happy forum encounters in the future--thanks again for the help.
John Fay and Scrap the adorable.

No rabbits are not rabies carriers--rather like racehorses--so there are no passports etc needed.

However we do have him immunised against myxymatosis and hemoragic fever in case he encounters various germs on his walks where there are wild rabbits. This is recorded in his own medical diary.

Ours is more likely to be necked for chewing expensive items like the Gucci handbag of our Swiss friend who adores him thank God.
She no longer puts her bag on the floor next to him but safely on the table above his reach.
