Recently beeing introduced to the need of a daily dose of statin, my wife to a beta blocker, our doctors appointments have made it necessary to abort our intended stay at Ferry meadows which would have coincided with this sudden heatwave.
We are lucky that our rear garden faces south , so we have been able to enjoy the warmth of the sun.
Looks like the weeks ahead the Weather will be back to normal, wondering how many more away days are in the offering.

We are loving it Royston.
At the moment we are going into our second week of a three week stay at our favourite site in Cornwall. After quitting both Snowdonia and Cumbria before our time was up due to rain it's about time we had some decent weather. The downside is we never brought any recliners with us because we never thought we'd need them

LB you could pop in to Halfords and buy a couple of these chairs we keep two in the car for random use and they come in very useful, and they are actually quite comfortable, could allow you to enjoy some of the sunshine.

Having only just returned from a specialist tour of eastern Turkey with temps around 38 deg C we both felt cold on arriving home. Just getting acclimatised to the weather and its on its way down.

Was outside til 9.30 last night it was that nice, was at Top Lodge CC and can recomend it.The wardens did a brilliant job and the site was lovley.Someone had a bad start yesterday afternoon though when a he was pushing their van backwards and it ran away down a slope and hit an electric bollard wrecking it and damaging the van.Someone ran over and pulled the handbrake on otherwise it could have been a lot worse.

Spent the week before the heatwave at Brean and apart from the strong winds.....thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wish we had booked the following week though and enjoyed some of our great british summer
