I'm glad I bested you in something, LB!

I'm afraid things might alter next year

A couple of weeks ago Her Ladyship cracked the bathroom wash basin. By the afternoon she asked me why I hadn't moaned at her. I told her that the fact that I was soooooooo glad that it wasn't me who cracked it neutralised any ill feelings

Secretly I'm glad she cracked it because it gives me a reason to have the toilet and bathroom knocked into one. This is going to cost quite a few grand so if we hope to get away next year as much as this it will mean myself working longer whittling clothes pegs and herself spending more time knocking on doors selling them.
You never mentioned in your post if I'm ok for a sub Emmo now I've hit upon hard times

i am retired, and we normally do about 85 nights away in the Caravan , would have done more last year but we had a month in, Australia , this year we have had 50 nights so far and will probably do another 25-30 nights away in the van , plus we are planning to go to Australia for 3 months before the year is out

LB, as Screwem Hall is your virtual ancestral home, I'll send you a virtual cheque for £24,000,000. Will that get you out of trouble?
Ref the bathroom, we rebuilt ours this year, to include a walk-in shower to make life easier for Herself (that's me see, all heart), and the total cost was double our original estimate, and I did a lot of the work myself, so be warned!

OMG thanks Emmo. I've virtually spent it already and I haven't even started on the bathroom yet

Had 52 nights upto date 4/10, got another 8 planned pls 6 nights at new year.
Both me and wife work full time plus I race bikes as well so weekends are our only caravan time other than 2 longer hols, summer and easter. Try and go away one or two weekends every month. Mainly around lakes, north wales and yorkshire dales. Go further afeild for main hols.

We prefer to enjoy ourselves rather than count the number of nights away. We seldom book in advance and will go on the spur of the moment and generally make going away into a 3 or 4 day break. We are away most weekends.

We have had 51 at the moment, and are away for 3 more on Friday plus another 3 on 4th November. Which will makes us 57 after that we don't know yet. We would have been away more at the beginning of the year but the boss had an operation on her back in March.
It would have been more but we look after the Grankids on 3 days a week and sometimes have them over the weekend.
I am semi retired, but work through an agency.

Sorry Surfer but I can't understand your reasoning. Just because people count how many nights they stay on sites doesn't mean they don't enjoy themselves. Obviously people like myself, who go away a lot, wouldn't do it if it made us miserable

Still working for a few more years yet. Not a good year for me.
4 nights cancelled due to snow.
12 nights cancelled due to car breakdown problems.
7 nights on a cruise
Anyway, 20 nights so far this year.
With 18 nights planned to the end of the year.
Then a new car, but it has to be run in for a 1,000 miles before I can tow, so December, January and early February no plans.
