I do it, I connect with 3's unlimited data to anything with wifi, I set my 4G phone up as a 'wifi hotspot'
After latest local mast upgrade to DC-HSDPA, (3.9G), I'm seeing up to 18Mb!.... in general it runs the smart TV lovely, but full HD can be a flaky if speed drops off to much

Check your contract carefully for something called 'tethering.' Most SPs do not permit it on unlimited data contracts. You can of course use your phone as the means to view?

The new Humax dongel has arrived & seems to be working ok when tethered to my phone ( I will know better over the weekend )

As i am an existing AYCE customer with Three i will still keep an eye on any usage, we also have a MiFi from Three that is for data only with 15GB per month that we have had for a few years now so using that is also an option.
