Hunt for cheap Thetford loo roll!

Hi, My mum & I have been on a hunt for the cheapest Thetford loo roll!! I'm fairly new to caravaning & bought some from Chichester Caravans when we first bought our caravan last October. Price - £4.00 for pack of 4! Mum being a seasoned caravaner said that she got them from Camping International at about £1.79 for pack of 4. Well, I was in my local Halfords and I noticed that they have a small section for caravans & guess what? 99p for a pack of 4!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I'll be stocking up from Halfords.

TLC, well found, 99P thats cheap. We will be there tomorrow as we need to stock up. Hope you are not giving us a BUM steer. JTS

I always use the 'value' loo roll from the big supermarkets. It is much thinner than the better more expensive stuff but it breaks down just as easy as thetford.

Best thing is it's only 20p for a 4 roll pack....!

This subject has cropped up many times. I find that there is no need to use expensive Thetford paper. If you only empty the pot when it needs it, rather than every day, then ordinary paper breaks down just as well as the dear stuff. If you use a first-class fluid like Kemdirect, it works even better. No smell either. Ask Joyce, or google kemdirect.

what i did was mixed some fluid split into two buckets put cheap supermarket stuff in one the thetfords in the other and there was no visual difference on the way they dissolved so before you pay through the nose for the dear stuff try it for yourself hope this helps bill

Whilst on the subject of the 'dissolvability' of various papers I had awful problems with balm impregnated paper hankies - the sort supposed not to make your nose sore. The balm has a waterproofing quality. Getting them out of the toilet cassette became a hands on experience ! No good for cleaning spectacles either ! ! Makes them all smeary.
