Hurn Lane CC site

Porbably the better choice I think if you want to go to that area. Very nice clean and tidy site with the usual high standard facilities. You are close enough to enjoy the lively activities on the front yet far enough away to enjoy some relative peace and quiet. Last time we went there was a fish and chip van call once a week - it might be worth ringing the site to check so that you can plan your evenings. We are due to go there during October half term - that is lively enough for us!

We went to this site two weekends ago (in the mini-heatwave). Had a fantastic time. Its a nicely laid out site, with one area (as you go in) mainly given over to hardstandings, with an immaculate toilet and shower block. The next area is grass, and because that toilet block was shut, there was only us and two other caravans in the whole field - we had a huge area to ourselves. There are plenty of service points, a good children's play area.

Fish and chip van comes on Saturday at 7pm (doesn't stay long though, so get out when it arrives). The shop also sells scones and cream teas - lovely treat. Its about a 10 - 15 min easy flat walk from the site down a country lane to the beach. Burnham on Sea about five minutes by car - a lovely unspoilt town.

The wardens are lovely, really helpful and friendly. They did say it does get busy in peak season, but as always with cc sites, there is good room between pitches. Nice farm shop for veg and fruit nearby. This was a lovely location, and we will be going back! Hope you have a fantastic half-term there.
