new 2.2 diesel auto is now nearing the UK coast from Korea. Any comments on the new make over for towing and without. What is good and not so good. Hoping to colect in early October after customs etc have done their bit.

Can't comment on the new one, but we have an 08 plate 2.2. If the new one is even as good, then it is worth having.

Having driven the new Santa Fe back to back with the new Sorento, you've made the right choice. If it was my money, I'd have the Santa Fe any time - much better value for money, and a far more settle ride (when towing at any rate).

We had the 2.2 revised model on an 06 plate & it was a great car & towcar. We have replaced 4 months ago with the updated 2.2 with the increased BHP. We covered 2100 miles in August towing & touring round France and have nothing but praise for Hyundai.
I'm sure you'll enjoy just as much as us.
Incedentally we tow a single axle with max laden weight of 1450kg

Hi,
just picked up our new 60 plate 2.2 premium 5 seater. First impressions are that it's a step up from our 57 plate. Leather much better quality as is the rest of the interior including the radio. Extra 50 bhp makes a difference and 6th speed on the motorway was showing 54 mpg at 80 mph. Our old one was a fantastic tow car (1450 kgs) so can't wait to hitch up and drive off.

Limit of 80kg nose weight, poor for a 4x4
