Thingy said:One of the reasons for Strathclyde is the chance to visit Low Parks Museum, home of the Cameronians/Scottish Rifles. It is the regiment my family all served with going way back well over 200 years, way back into the mists of time. Indeed our first recording is with the Perthshire Grey Breeks in 1804 (90th Regt of Foot) which amalgamated to become part of the Cameroinians. Some history huh? Unfortunately disbanded by the time my turn came, else I would have kept the tradition.

Well worth a visit, and could be done in conjuction with the sightseeing tour bus that Dustydog mentioned.
Allow a lot of time in the museum - 3 hours minimum, it is arelatively short walk from Kelvinhall Subway Station.

Sir Haggis,
I didn’t know you were an artist
Down South someone who likes a wee dram or two is also, as a joke , referred to as a p###. Artist. I am sure Hutch will help!! It’s all about artistic appreciationAnseo said:Dustydog said:https://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/museums/venues/kelvingrove-art-gallery-and-museum[/quoteAnseo said:Well worth a visit, and could be done in conjuction with the sightseeing tour bus that Dustydog mentioned.
