Thanks. Fog first thing , that soon burnt away, otherwise very good four days of weather.

Another five weeks before we can get away, then our first trip is Bunree for 14 nights and 4 days at Strachclyde county park. Lets see just how cultural glasgow really is.

I've just booked http://www.doepark.co.uk/ down at Barnard Castle , private site not a club site but comes in £1o cheaper about 6 minutes down the road from the Club site !! Hope the weather is nice . B)

Thingy,
Following advice from Ray on here we used Bellshill railway station. Free parking and excellent service into Glasgow Central. Use the sightseeing tourist bus. Brilliant. Get on and off wherever you like. The new transport museum is well worth a visit.

Enjoy the trip. I think we will be away when you are at Strathclyde Park though otherwise might have popped down to see you and show you the culture.

Well worth a visit, and could be done in conjuction with the sightseeing tour bus that Dustydog mentioned.

Allow a lot of time in the museum - 3 hours minimum, it is arelatively short walk from Kelvinhall Subway Station.

One of the reasons for Strathclyde is the chance to visit Low Parks Museum, home of the Cameronians/Scottish Rifles. It is the regiment my family all served with going way back well over 200 years, way back into the mists of time. Indeed our first recording is with the Perthshire Grey Breeks in 1804 (90th Regt of Foot) which amalgamated to become part of the Cameroinians. Some history huh? Unfortunately disbanded by the time my turn came, else I would have kept the tradition.

That is very close, and is within walking distance, although you might need the wardens to tell you how to get there if you do walk.

Down South someone who likes a wee dram or two is also, as a joke , referred to as a p###. Artist. I am sure Hutch will help!! It’s all about artistic appreciation 😛
