I miss my van.

Due to a lifestyle change and a divorce I had to get rid of the van in August, sadly at the moment we can't get another one as the house is up for sale and as soon as it goes we're off to France and a new life.
But while i'm still in work and driving up and down the motorways, as the week comes to an end I see more and more of you taking your little boxes to a site and having a chilled out weekend away.
Especially with the latest fall of snow we've had it would have been lovely to be snuggled up in a toasty van, feet up, telly on, and looking out watching the snow fall and waking up to a fresh blanket of snow.
Sounds soppy but I had it for 5 years and brought us great pleasure.
Martin.

Once a caravanner always a caravanner...you'll be back when the time and circumstances are right. I too am between caravans at the moment, because circumstances for having one are not right at the moment. For those with severe withdrawal symptoms, I recommend taking the occasional weekend away in static caravans on the many sites available. No hassle, comparatively cheap and although it's not the real thing, you get a flavour of caravan life and meet like minded people...!!

We're also between caravans, we sold our beloved Adria when we did our major lifestyle change and move down here to Somerset at Easter, so I know how you feel, Martin

I'm sure we'll get another eventually. I hope you enjoy your coming lifestyle, whatever it may be.

Due to financial constraints we were forced to sell our 2005 twin axle caravan in June 2010. We miss it very much however in the meantime we have now purchased an old 1990 caravan to enable us to have weekends away. More than likely we will be looking at siting it somewhere, but at least it will be a weekend away.
