i.o w steam train

Think our FG wants to know if the trip is any good and what the differance is between 3rd class and1st class, is it worth paying the extra for the same trip.
Looks like he's planning a trip to your neck of the woods Damien.

Thanks Kev.
OK, the Havenstreet Railway is a project which has restored steam trains once used on the Island, and the carriages.
It runs from Havenstreet to Ashey in Ryde, or from nowhere to nowehere and back again.

The difference between 1st class and 3rd class is about the length of 4 carriages and some upholstery.

Is it worth the cost,,,,,depends how "into" steam trains you are.
Its certainly better than the reject underground trains running on the Island Line from Ryde Pier to Shanklin.

We've been on it twice and I will definitely go on it again when we go back there. Also did the ex-underground train which was worth a go, but wouldn't put it down as a must-do-it-again thing.

We went third class as we wanted to know how the everyday folk travelled. No not really, it's cos I'm cheap!
