Below the 'user' nameavatar (left hand side), I see icons of a 'man' and a 'house, what do they represent or mean please.

Hovering over these icons is ok if on a pc but if using a tablet you don't get that option, I can't say I've ever noticed these before and I've no idea of relevance, maybe it signifies it's a male poster and he states where he lives?

Yes that's it, I just changed my profile and added where I live and I've now got a little house which I hadn't previously, if you want you can add birthday as well and it adds a little gift wrapped prezzie

Those Icons don't work on any Apple operating system. Maybe that's a small price to pay for using far superior computer system!
( That normally stirs up the MS Windoze users as much as insulting the Oval Green Badge owners)
