Hi

After taking the weatherman's advice last year and staying in England for the BBQ summer ha.

We want to go back to Spain or France this year for the last 2 weeks in Aug. Can anybody advise us on a site around the Bordeaux area or the south of France? In Spain we've camped at el delfin Verde near Gerona and cambrills park nr salou so would like somewhere in-between. We are a family of 4 with girls aged 15/13yrs. We would like a nice pool good amenities and a beach nearby (and somewhere good for snorkelling if poss). Don't want cheep as chips but something reasonably priced as were on a budget . So anybody any ideas.

Thanks Richard W

Hi Richard,

Years ago, before we had a caravan, we used to take our kids on Eurocamp holidays. In fact, one of the sites we visited was El Delfin Verde. These sites suited our 2 perfectly, as they always found people to mix with, even when well into their teens. When they were smaller, they joined in the kids club activities and lots of sites run these independently of the big operators in the summer. My suggestion is that you get hold of a brochure for Eurocamp or one of the other "package camping" companies and suss out the sites they use. You can then book independently, secure in the knowledge that your youngsters will have a brilliant time (as will you if you pick your site carefully).
