One or two of you may have noticed some strange posts and images appearing on this forum from time to time recently.

Some of the material has what at first glance appears to be under my userame to give the impression that it was posted by me.

The forum is being plagued by a 'troll' who is a former member now banned from legitimately using this forum. He is using a loophole in the log in system to gain access in a pathetic attempt to disrupt this forum.

This sad individual is an attention seeker who is desperate for some sort of reaction so any material submitted by him is best ignored until it is deleted.

Would all legitimate forum members please update their email addresses so that they are valid and current, one or two still use email addresses which are now defunct because they have changed internet providers and should the need arise their membership of the forum cannot be verified and they cannot be contacted off the forum by admin.

Thanks

We've come across this same problem before Colin, I tried but couldn't get a proper answer from Haymarket.

The young lady at Haymarket who I need to ask is on holiday at the moment but when she comes back later this week I'll try to find out

Who'd be a mod?? You do an absolutely sterling job Steve, under extremely difficult conditions, made even more difficult by the likes of that brainless, idiotic, puffed up with his own self importance, childish, attention seeking bag of wind (and no I'm not talking about Lord Braykewynde - well, not on this occasion ROFL - sorry LB, just kidding, hehehe).

Keep up the good work, you deserve a medal, as do your fellow mods (at least you've got a chest to pin it on - unlike Le C*ck, whose chest would deflate if anything sharp was stuck in it). ;-)

Feel free to delete this post if it causes any problems.

Oops, resubmitted as a reply, which is what it was meant to be, lol - sorry!!

Steve

Just goes to show Haymarket are the authors of their own misadventures by not updating the whole system last year!

Now how do we do posts in Parksy's name?? LOL.

Cheers

Thanks for your kind words Sue, if Le Scrote wants to stay up half the night posting rubbish to the forum it's no skin off my nose, I just delete it all in a couple of minutes when I get up for a hey diddle diddle later on lol.

Hi DD, nice to see that you survived the recent soaking in Scotland.

It's a shame that Haymarket missed the chance to upgrade the forum in line with the rest of the website but it doesn't affect them unduly

Thanks Dave but I'm not the only one working to keep the forum running smoothly.

There are my fellow mods Damian and Ray and a backroom team at Haymarket but because I'm often up and down during the night due to health issues I take great delight in deleting the latest offerings from our resident troll, it passes the time :0)

Steve - since reading your last posting I now have this mental image of you sitting on the throne in the dark of night with your lap top on your lap plugged in (or wi-fi) and you editing all postings on here. What a wonderful image I have LOL

Serious now - all you Mods.keep up the good work.

It's not THAT throne Colin :0)

It would be worth getting a laptop to try it out though

In reply to Colin and members who have also asked

According to admin the software currently being used won't support tweaks so unfortunately it's not possible to change email addresses without re registering at the moment.

For Steve

Sorry but no advertising is allowed on the forum, Haymarket run an advertising department if you wish to advertise in one of their publications.

If we let advertisers use the forum it would soon become swamped with 'free' advertising by companies and members would soon become fed up with having to wade through adverts for goods and services before they could get to the information they are seeking from members.
