Inaca Awning - 'Fix On' pads

Has anyone got any experience of these plastic pads that go up against the caravan? Attempted to put the awning on the caravan (for the first time) at home before using it over the easter weekend and got confused with what the instructions appeared to tell me with what i could actually do. On the diagram it appears that the pad should fix onto some form of bead and then the tension from the pole would hold it in place against the caravan. However i can not find any bead or place to feed through the top of the plastic so therefore reverted to just using the tension of the pole to hold it in place. Not really sure if this is right or not. Any help greatly appreciated.

Lee, I have an Inaca Sands awning. If you look on the inside of the awning just underneath the awning beading that goes through the channel you will see a smaller version of the same beading but plastic, not material like some of the rail beadings. This is what the fix on pads attach to but make sure you put them on the right way round, there's nothing worse than putting them on and finding they are the wrong way round. Once you have put them on leave them in place for the next time, they can be a pig to put in the right place.

If you still can't find it leave a message saying how you're getting on and I'll give you a call to talk you through it.

Good luck.
