Indicator oddity

Recently I've found that the indicator warning beep has stopped working on ONE side of the caravan when the brakes are on?
Other side works fine and I've cleaned all the contacts etc on the non working one. Odd thing is that although I don't get the audible alarm, the indicator is working fine. So is this a problem with the car or the van? Car is a 2007 Vectra and the towing electrics is the factory fitted job in the rear electric panel.
Basically turn right, beep fine, put brakes on, beep gone, brakes off and beep returns!

Car is fine, has inbuilt warnings when lamps go wrong:) Gonna check with a trailer board tomorrow and see if that gives the same results.

Strangely yes all lights work fine. Although when I press the brake pedal the beep stops, the indicator is still working!

It's a bad connection in the caravan light clusters that will be causing the problem the terminals will have oxydized, you might as well clean all of the connections in each rear light with a wire brush to save further problems.
