indoor wood damage

Hi. You dont say how big the dent is, if it is only a small one try finding some wood of the same kind, ie colour, then saw this up to create sawdust, collect the sawdust and mix it with wood glue thus making a paste and use this as filler.

The wood glue dries almost clear and so the colour match is not far off. I used Evo-Stick wood glue on a door and you can hardly notice the repair.

thanks for that ,it is about three small dents in the wood

as the van is only a week old iam hoping the dealer can sort it

out under warrenty.

if they dont i will try that, thankyou very much

Decades ago when doing cabinet making `A` level at school, we were shown how to use a damp cloth and steam iron to lift dents in wood.

Yes, it worked but some repolishing was required afterwards.

Neil,

the method that Angus proposes works! but don't be to enthusiastic with the heat, alternatively, if the surface is horizontal, a hot dish cloth will also work
