HI all new to forum ere will post my intro soon but for now i am seeking advice on how to insert the infill round the window seal please??

Just bought a 94 swift rapide 440 94 model which the old window seals are in middle of being replaced ourselves putting the actual window seal on was easy enough but the infill proved difficult.

Thanks for now Drew

Hi Drew, We have a tool for this job, but unless you use it on a regular basis it's expensive, i assume you have the seal in place and stapled down, then run a thin blunt blade around the recess, spray in the recess with a silicone spray (Mr Sheen)will do, then push the insert into the rear recess, then with your thin blunt blade ease the front edge of the recess over the insert, and slowly pull the blade around the seal, don't forget to gve it a good overlap, it's a fiddly job until you get the hang of it.

got it now drew, didnt realise what you meant until the last post. what i used to do when changing windscreens in my oder cars "cortina mk2 1600e" was to run a thin strip of wire around the inside with the two ends sticking out enough to get a grip of. then do as the last post suggest but instead of running the blade around it you pull on one of the ends of the wire until it folds the outer edge over the outside, keep the strain on it and you should be able to pull it all the way around, seating the seal.
