Hello

I'm looking into the possibility of installing a tankless water heater for the shower cubicle in our caravan so that we're not solely reliant on having enough hot water available in our Ultrastore Storge Heater. Can anyone recommend a reliable brand of this type of water heater ?

Thanks
Col

Combi boilers are made for caravans but I am sure they are directed at statics. Be difficult to fit and flu in a tourer. And far too powerful.

I was think more along the lines of a low kw electric water heater, preferably tankless and similar to the type you can have in kitchens in offices etc. I have come across a 1.5kw 10ltr tank type.

If it’s tankless and low kw then it won’t do the job. Even a compact shower will take 8-10 kw to deliver its flow. An additional tank would be a better idea. If you search for “shower” posts from Grey13 he added extra capacity so he could shower for longer. You get lots of hits.

We had the ALDE Continuous hot water system in our caravan and never ran out of water. The other way around it is to fit a second 10 litre boiler which is electric only. Easy to do as no gas connections involved.
