One of the caravan clubs is offering UK tours. If you want a tour that costs £1399 which includes site fees for two people and the following:

A guided tour of the historic city of York and the York Minster cathedral
A trip on the North York Moors Railway
A visit to the contrasting castles of Barnard Castle and the stately home of Castle Howard
An opportunity to sample the produce of Wensleydale Creamery, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales
Ending the tour with the spectacular Kynren show, an Epic Tale of England

The tour also includes gransport to the various venues however if we were able to afford the cost we would prefer to use our own transport. It is for eight nights so about £175 per night. Unfortunately that is way out of our budget so we will not be taking up the option.

There are three tours. We have looked at them but undecided given the price, If you add up the component costs though I am not convinced it is that bad value.

Their tour costs are a total rip off.!

£175 per night and what exactly do you get for that? A nights pitch fee (at £50 absolute maximum) so what does the other £125 per night get you? To quote Mr Daniels.........

"Not a lot!"

Not forgetting you also have to feed yourself

And the European tours are just stupid price wise and are quoted per person not per outfit, in addition you have to get yourself to the start point so you still have the ferry cost on top of the tour. No chance whatsoever of me ever going on one. For comparison we reckon to do a Continental trip, of a months duration for about £1500 (plus ferry and fuel but not food) which is just over £50 per night

That is an expensive nightly rate. We have just been looking at a few nights in a nice pub near to Lynmouth and it is £75ppn which includes DB&B. Admittedly we wouldn't get the other aspects of the tour, but thus far we are still able to sort our day out activities out for ourselves.
