Intermittent Reich Motor Mover

I have recently had my 4 wheel drive Reich motor mover transferred onto my new twin axle caravan by my dealer. It worked very well for the first week, however I am now in Spain and it is now only working intermittently when I press the controls on the handset. I have replaced the batteries in the handset and the leisure battery is brand new and fully charged. Obviously on small pitches in Spain I need the mover to work correctly and is giving me a serious problem. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be please?
 
We also had an intermittent fault on our Reich mover, and we found that one of the wires connecting the 9v battery pad to the circuit board inside the remote had corroded.
It was an easy job to replace, if you have a spanish equivalent of maplins nearby .
Also check that the aerial on the control box hasn't been bent or worse.
