Internal Wheel Arch Help

[TLC]

I have noticed that the internal wheel arch underneath the seat has been rubbing against the wheel which has caused the arch to have holes in it. Please advise?

I am very concerned that this is a danger as it will get hot but I really don't know where to start on getting it sorted. Yes this is my first caravan, & being of the fairer sex would really appreciate some advice.

I have a Lunar Clubman 530.

My first thought's on this is do you have a hand book for your van ? & how old is it ??

If so what size wheel's & tyre's should it have on ??

Has it got the specified wheel / tyre size's fitted ??

Has this just happened since you got the van ?? Or was it already there ??

Is it on both wheel arches ??

I know it question time but without a few answers its hard to offer any advice other than saying you need to get it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing IE: A mobile engineer is a good start unless it is something obvious like 15" wheels instead of 13" wheels

if you have the right size of wheels and tyres on your van ,it seems to me your caravan might have a bent axel.i would advise taking it to your nearest caravan workshop to get it checked out.

I have now checked the tyres & all are correct as per handbook & the pressures are correct.

On further investigation I have found that the same has happened on the other side wheel arch.

The van 1s 2004 model & I have owned it for about 18 months. Bought from a dealer. I have no idea if this has just happened or it has been doing it for a while. Judging by the size of the holes I would imagine a while as I have not used it much & we do not travel that far with it.

I will phone the dealer tomorrow but being a 1st time caravan owner I would appreciate any advice as I don't want to be fobbed off. This is not the first problem we have had with this van & now I am starting to wonder if we have bought a dudd 🙁
