I am no technophobe with mobile/internet technology, but in simple English can someone please explain to me the best way to get internet connection while away in the van. I have a mobile pay-as-you-go phone and no dongle. So . . . . can I plug in my mobile and use that,(and what sort of special adaptor would I use for it) or do I go and buy a dongle on pay-as-you-go useage. Would I be wasting my money buying a dongle if a mobile will do the same job? Or will it??? I need someone to explain to me please what to do and the best way to go about it. Thanks

Thanks for that. Looked on Vodafone and other websites for details of the dongle and it does seem to be uncomplicated and just what we are looking for, and overall the Vodafone looks to come out the best of the lot. Decided to take the plunge!!!! Thanks for your help!

If you have a "smart" phone with USB connection and in built modem you can connect via USB port to the internet.

Nokia have a free simple download for their phones called Nokia PC Suite. You select you network supplier once when you connect and then its a simple one touch click connection to the internet from then on. Other phone manufacturers offer similar connection software.
