For those that like to use public transport whilst in France ( hope it has not been recommended before) the iphone app "TER Mobile" I think is a fantastic help.
Basically you can either enter your location, or allow the app. to locate you and enter your destination and you are then given all the times of the trains. Tap reverse and all the returns are shown.

On the note of iphone apps - does anyone know of any other useful apps they could be useful for caravanning-

As a starter i use the iphone handy level for levelling the caravan
It would be great if we could start a thread with all peoples tips on apps that can be useful for caravanning dont you think?
I may start a seperatre thread to see if we can get some input from the team?
 
A few more useful for the Iphone,
V-E-T - finds the nearest vet by your location, tel. no. address etc.
DP Maps - Locate satellite for your t.v.signal

I've posted a few useful iPhone apps on the main site, but a separate forum thread with links to the apps is a great idea. I'll start the ball rolling over here.
 
Another freebee to throw in to the mix, "Nav Free" a really remarkable free satnav for the UK.
Have used it many times and it provides results comparable with commercial satnav units.
It's free so worth giving a try.
