Irish ferry fare Guru wanted!

My boss has said no continental trips unless we have at least two weeks in Ireland in August.

Wales to Ireland is best bet for us but would consider other routes provided I am not forced to pay for a cabin!

So are there any van goes free deals, is it worth joining CC for discount and what sort of price does CC discount bring the fare down to?

I know my way around fares to France through business and pleasure trips but can't seem to crack a deal on Irish routes.

Friends of mine crossed Cairnryan to Larne (just around the bay from Stranraer) - cheaper than Stranraer to Larne, apparently. Never done it ourselves, and obviously not very convenient if you live in Wales, but might be worth checking prices.
