Is it worth Insurancing an older caravan

Our caravan is 20 years old. A lot of the insurance companies do not insure old vans. We paid £500 for it, it has a new awning which is probably worth more than the van. My question is, is it worth paying £60-£70 to insure it? There seems lots of clauses and it seems a minefield to understand caravan insurance, the market value on it would be what? Its a trophy silver 435 and it was sold to us rotten and we have had to re-build two of the sides, after lots of hardwork its a lovely caravan now. Any recommendations? thanks Pam

It is not a question of the value of your van, but more a question of liability if you cause damage to someone elses van or property. Imagine the concequences of a fire that not only destroyed your van, but also the one parked next to it. That one could be a brand new Van worth
