that may be so michael but jo-anne opened a thread saying she was looking for an item which frank has said he has for sale in a direct responce to jo-annes question, therefore in my eyes frank and jo-anne are discussing the potential sale and purchase of the item together.

it is not the done thing and is certainly not very nice to then come in and start trying to gazump the purchase, if jo-annes offer is not suitable then im sure frank knowing that theire are others interested will say so, up to that point the conversation should be left to the two original parties.

This is why the sale of goods is not allowed within this forum.

Jo-Anne has asked for her email address to be forwarded so that they can continue their conversation off the forum which is the only way.

If prices had been posted the topic would have breached forum etiquette.

Hi

Sorry Michael for any confusion but as I was answering the thread originated by Jo-anne therefore my comments were addressed to her and as such she will have first refusal. Thank you Moderator for passing the e-mail address.

Regards

Cautionary Note re Magnum Annex

The Magnum annex will NOT fit Isabella Ambassador Awnings, it is too narrow. It fits obviously the Magnum but also the Penta.

Having said that it is a very good bit of kit and we use it with our Magnum when we take the grandchildren; it fits either side.

Only down side is that the poles are steel and thus unbelievably heavy relative to the more usual fibre poles of the awning itself.

Hi Jo-Anne

If it was up to me there would be a section of the forum for buying and selling of accessories amongst genuine forum members but it's not my decision.

I have asked Haymarket staff if it would be possible to do this on a couple of occasions and I was told that it would be considered.

From my most recent online communication with Haymarket it appears that there will be no alteration or updating of this forum.

I was given the impression that the 'computer programme language' which runs this forum is so obsolete that changes to it would be very expensive and time consuming even if Haymarket had the staff with the necessary expertise and time to make changes to this forum.

I'm sorry to say that not one request or suggestion that has been made about the layout, content or rules of this forum has been taken up and this situation doesn't look as if it will change any time soon.

Apart from online auction websites or other forums with 'for sale' sections the free advertising within the Practical Caravan magazine is the best thing that I can suggest.

Mikey / Michael E

Have you done the deal or is the annexe now on e-bay?

JTQ said it will fit the Penta which we have that's why I have become interested.

Don't won't to step on your toes Michael E if you are in talks.

Many thanks

Allyson
