Isle of Wight parking

Hi, I'm on a ferry crossing to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight later this week. The crossing is 3 hours before we can book on site. Any suggestions as to where we could park up for a couple of hours would be appreciated. Anywhere between Fishbourne and Yarmouth please.

We were over there last week. We sailed into Yarmouth and there MIGHT (check on Google maps) be parking at the car park opposite the ferry terminal, I saw a couple of motorhomes there. We also passed a couple of garden centres whilst driving down to the CAMHC site near Sandown so again, check Google maps as they might have parking while you use their cafe etc (phone them and check though!). Lay-byes etc were dotted around which might also suit.

As I thought, Yarmouth long stay car park opposite the ferry terminal does have spaces for vehicles with trailers, but not many:

Hi Gary, yes thanks for your advice. There are a few spaces for motorhomes, cars with trailers and coaches. But if you are there early in the morning before getting on your pitch I think you are OK. I also think you would be OK on Colwell common and Golden hill fort carpark as well, if you are over at the Yarmouth end.
