Issue with Enigma 460 cooker series

I have the above cooker and it is rusting underneath the rings alongside the build up of debris. Problem is that there is no way to actually access and treat/clean under the cooker hood and the rust is spreading and debris building. The fact that this is a cooker, you should surely be able to clean it, neither should it rust at such a quick rte. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you remedy it? The company are not being very helpful.

Did you buy the cooker from new? and how long ago ?
The cooker was new with my Abi Trieste 2017. It is out of its guarantee period but a cooker that is designed for a caravan should surely not rust after such a short time and little usage nd the design should be such that it can be cleaned.

Thank you but it is not. I have had someome look at it.

Abi communicated with Thetford who ssid that the rust must be caused due to water spillage so it is not a design fault. Thetford are ignoring my emails now. Any advice re my next steps please?
The ABI Trieste 2017 is a Park Leisure static

The pan support should be removable on the Enigma cooker, allowing cleaning under the burners.

I am not sure exactly what the OP is describing about the cooker.
The Enigma range of cookers feature a flat dished sheet top with slightly raised burners and a couple of removable wire pan supports.
I dont understand what "hood" is mentioned??

As far as I can recall, the burner tops are secured with a small screw to stop them moving about during transit, but apart from that the rest is easily cleaned.

As for rust that is almost always caused by either not thoroughly cleaning the pan supports after use and the cooker being left in an unheated environment for long periods of time.

The pan support is available as a spare part so must be removeable somehow!

The trader who sold you the caravan has the legal liability - not the caravan maker and not the component maker - the fact that you may be sited on a park owned by the selling trader may put you between a rock and a hard place - sorry I can't help more.

Sorry for m lack of accurate terminology.

If only there was a way to send a pic. The part that I am talking about it what the pan rests, rest on and the burners protrude out off. In the middle if it is what looks like a vent, but it is not a vent. underneath this, is a metal sheet, that catches debris that fall between the grills of the vent, this is what is rusty and full of food debris but it is not reachable.

You can send pictures use the little photo icon at the top of each section and insert the picture from your phones photo library. There’s a sticky to on how to insert photos.

OK, Thanks for the pictures, all becomes very clear now.
There is only one way to clean that area but it means the whole cooker has to come out and be virtually stripped down to get to the area.
It is most definitely NOT a DIY job and it takes quite a long time to remove, strip, clean and reassemble.
As it is a static caravan it can ONLY be done by a qualified Gas Safe LPG fitter.

The one thing I was wrong about before seeing the pictures is that the burner tops are not secured so easily lift off.

I have to agree that having that grille into the void where it is, is a very bad design , but then some makers never use the items they make, or account for the fact that spills will happen when cooking.

Apparently there there are several different versions of this appliance, and whilst I have found some information about the model, the picture Amled has posted differs from the information
I have found.

It does appear the stainless steel panel is not removable by the end user to gain access to the inner panel, which seems to be the top of the grille cavity.

It is difficult to tell from the picture, but is it rust or could it be something has spilled there and baked on?

Unfortunately becasue it is a residential caravan it is a job for a qualified gas fitter in accordance with the regulations.
