Itchy Hands

Daft Title but here goes.

Just received my long awaited and sort after Isabella awning with carbon fibre poles delivered by courier.

Unpacked my awning bars out of the box and checked them off against the diagram (some parts missing but thats a different story).

After packing them all away in the bag, my hands now feel as though they are covered in invisable splinters.

Last time I felt like this was just after I fitted the loft insulation.

Has anyone else discovered this problem? does it get better as the awning is used?

Im so tempted to get the poles out again and wipe each one down with a damp cloth, otherwise the next time will be on site.

Cheers
John

If the awning is new then I can only think it is carbon fibre dust from when the poles were cut to length.
I have an Isabella with carbon poles and don't have any problems at all .
I would try giving the poles a wipe down with a damp cloth and it should hopefully cure the problem.

Mine came with fibre type sheeting over all the windows. I threw it all away. maybe that has upset your skin?
