Its that time again

Well with that dreded word of winter around the corner, and my Caravan all packed away, I was woundering what % of people caravan all year, when I say all year ,I mean all year not just a couple of winter rallies. and if you go on electric hook up sites. with the nights being so long , what do you do (please keep it clean). I have alway thought about going away in the winter months but not tried it as yet.

I use mine all year round. It's great for going to London or Bath for a long weekend etc. Usually go to see a show or go shopping etc. The van is lovely and warm even when covered in snow! Have even gone to Scotland walking as well for the last couple of years.

It beats me why people don't use them all year round to be honest as they are just as good in the winter as in the summer, sites are cheaper and quieter.

Hope that's helped you to get yours out during the colder months?

Mark

For us it's the start of our caravanning season ! The schools are now back and the sites are less crowded. We do most of our touring between September and December; wonderful time of year !

This will be are first winter with a caravan and were planning on using as much as we can. Hopefully some sites near beaches so i can go fishing.

Moth, our caravan season starts in Feb and runs through to end Oct. This year however we are going away for xmas in the van, with small tree and decs, should be great. When in uk we watch telly or read on the long winter nights, sometimes ventur out to the pub to taste the local finest, ansd stagger back to site.

It is so peasefull during the winter as few people van all the way through, although if we keep on telling everyone how good it is it will get busy!!

Happy caravanning what ever you chose, its alot of money though to use for a few w/e and a few weeks in the summer

Not to sure if Pentewan Sands, near Mevagissey is open all the year but you cant get much closer to the beach than that.

cant wait to try out the heater in our van (we only got it in April)...be all cosy and toasty in the van...I know its a novelty - but its still exciting to us!

we will use our van all year too, i love waking up, looking out and seeing frost or snow on the ground. its beautiful.

Boil the kettle and settle back into a snug bed with the wife feeling all smug and content looking out onto a white landscape.

Beautiful!!!!!

(Now, wheres the shower block so i can thaw my aqua roll! lol)

how lovely!...I prefer winter to summer, nothing better than a bracing frosty morning to blow out the cobwebs

one of the reasons that we bought our caravan was to use it in the winter when visting my father in law.

He lives in devon and his house is freezing. I cant wait to be in my van, nice and warm, while everyone else is freezing their bits off in the house 🙂
