Earlier this week I tried appealing for a return to the sensible, informative, educational and helpful forum PCV used to have, free from flippant and irrelavant postings, and pointless bickering.
It now appears that some members are determined to continue despite the dismay and disagreement expressed by the majority.
Terminating the membership of those who disregard forum etiquette clearly does not work as they can simply re-register using a different email address.
We have therefore decided to put the users themsleves in the driving seat and ask them to self-moderate the forum by ignoring irrelevant or argumentative postings.
Naturally we will still intervene where there is a serious breach of forum etiquette.
