Hi.I've just bought my 1st caravan, got it home but had to undo the bolts to the ball to get it from the car, the side spring release dosn't seem to work, any idea's welcome.

What kind of hitch is fitted to the van?

If it is an AKS 1300 then it will be the tension wheel has been done up too tight causing the lock washers holding the pads to come off the pad spindle.
