This is a Public Holiday in Spain and falls on a Saturday. Does anyone know whether they follow the UK practice and have a "working day" off when the public holiday falls at the weekend, and if so, whether this will be the Friday 5th or Monday 8th.

Planning to travel down across Spain and need to have facilities, service stations etc. open. Not using autovia all the way.

Hard to say if it will be on the Friday or Monday.....The village I am heading for it is on Monday.

Most service stations and most eating places will be open.

Either way, just stop near a village/town and enjoy the Spanish Xmas. 6th Jan is Three Kings Day and is always great fun and spectical. I am doing just that in Alhaurin el Grande,then heading over to Morocco with a small group [Desert Detours] for a month.....Mmmmmmm
