Very sad indeed and so young with so much knowledge.
Didn't you just love the way he threw himself into the technical matters of caravanning.
Amongst many other achievements I am sure he will be fondly remembered for his excellent Caravan Manual, still available from Haynes. Every caravanner should keep a copy of John's manual on board.
so sorry to hear this sorry news ,without John I would had not had the pleasures of caravaning
his early books helped me to rebuild my 1st van & opened our family up to adventure & foreign travel

Sad to hear this, he was so enthusiastic about his work i saw on the videos I've seen and I'm sure he will be sorely missed.
Condolences to his friends and family.
RIP John.
Extremely sad news. John was a bundle of energy and information and well respected by all caravanners. A great loss and my thoughts go out to his family, friends and colleagues.
What a great loss to Caravanners and Motorhomers. He will be greatly missed on both programmes, he explained things in such away that everyone could understand.
Terribly sad news indeed, what a sad loss, he had a sense of humour like no other and a great deal of knowledge which will be greatly missed, rest in peace John.
