I would be seeing them in Court if they had slandered my family in this way. They should have both been sacked by now.

I understand that many professional actors and celebrities have said that they will not appear with Jonathan Ross ever again. Can you blame them.

Brand has at least had the decency to apologise to the public for his behaviour, unlike the smug Ross who has retreated behind the newly installed gates of his mansion.

Why not get your facts right!

Ross has personally apologised to Andrew Sachs, why on earth anyone would need to apoliges to a general public who never herd the show in the first place, therefore cannot be offended is rubbish.

"Court action" you'd take them court would you, which one small claims.......LOL LOL LOL

"g" is right, Ross did personally apologise to Sachs and Sachs accepted the apology and wanted no further action to be taken.

My own opinion is yes, they did go a bit OTT but it WAS a joke. A joke which backfired and they both apologised. Sachs accepted the apology and wished no further action so as far as I'm concerned, the matter is dead and buried. 35,000 complaints is, in my opinion, still a small percentage of the listeners (4 million) and many of the complaints were spurred on by the flaming tabloids and I think they should get a life.

As far as I see it, the matter is over and done with so what's the point continuing to rant over this issue?

If anyone thinks that they are very much mistaken,it's not over and won't be until Ross parts company with the beeb. I don't care if he is fired or resigns he won't be back. His ego won't allow him to just come back after 12 weeks suspension.

I have read all the above comments about Woss and Bwand and there seems to be a missing point here and that is alternative comedy so in my mind that means they are not in the remotest bit funny.

Sack them both

Regards Sir Roger (shame Bwand resigned)

To put it into perspective how many on this or Gary's forum, or any of the thousands of forums have bothered to complain to the BBC?

Very few I would bet and none from these two forums. It's as plain as the nose on ones face that the majority disagreed with it and a high proportion think both should be sacked.

Also it doesn't matter if one heard the broadcast, all people are saying is that it's gone far enough, is there any wonder that kids today act like they do when role models like those plonkers are allowed to get away with it.

How many males on this forum would roll about on the floor, bustin' a gut from laughing because someone had just broadcast on the airwaves that their wife was being f****d by Mr X?

It would be a different story then because the nation was having a laugh at your expence.

Hopefully this might make other producers/presenters at the BBC sit up and take notice that people do have a voice on what happens to their licence money and they need to be more careful if they want to keep their massive salaries.

With 4 million listeners, I don't believe "that the majority disagreed with it and a high proportion think both should be sacked" Take a look at the replies on the BBC website. There's a lot of replies wondering what the fuss is all about.

And Sachs has accepted the apology and wished to take no further action. He's also reported to like Ross and agreed it was all a joke which got out of hand. If he can accept it, why can't others?

Oh well, each to their own. We're all entitled to our opinions and I expected there to be a divide on this. I'm not going to keep posting in this thread as it's only raking over the same coals now. :)

One point that may have been overlooked is that the Government intervened in the form of the PM. That inevitably fanned the flames and kept the story on the headlines for longer. Possibly very convenient when you have a rough economy collapsing around your ears. I detect the hand of Campbell in this.

Your wild response is so childish as not to warrant a reply.

Is this still going on? I've been to Troutbeck Head and back and its still hot.

Of course the government will intervene, there are votes in it if they are seen to be making a moral stand. Who could possibly object to it?

PS, somebody let me know when that play with the one of the professionals is on. I'll be recording that.
