Just a thought....

Isn't it funny how you can be on a site all week and you only really talk to your neighbours when either you or they are going? I have always seen myself as friendly and sociable but I never push myself on people. But as soon as people start packing up you hear 'Well you've got a nice day for it'...or...'Can I give you a hand with that?' and definitely 'Got far to go?' Any of those is enough to start a chat and you end up commenting what a nice couple/family they are. Has that happened to you too? Best wishes, Butler

Frequently. I blame it on tv and in built washrooms. No longer the 'need' to leave the van, so contact is reduced.

However, you could always cheat. Tell them you are leaving and then move around the site and re-pitch. That would get the chatter going.

I thought the idea of caravanning was to get away from it all including nosy neighbours. It is annoying when you are packing up and some moron with the intelligence of a bumble bee comes across to ask if you are packing up.

Invariably I tell them I am chucking out the stuff to buy all new for the next weekend we are away. That shuts them up pretty quick.
