just joined!

Hi all,I have just recently joined the throng and even though I have still to use my van, I would if at all possible like to ask a couple of questions, but 1st a little about myself...My name is Gary,Im 51,single(divorced),no kids, working, and have envied ppl who in my opinion really do have the best oppertunities to just hook up and go,that cant be said of the millions who get stressed out wondering if the yearly in advance planning will all go to plan, but evidently find out things dont go to plan...so I have followed the example of the hundreds if not thousands of ppl within the caravanning world, and purchased a caravan, but what I know about caravannig you could tattoo on a gnats behind.so any info will be most appreciated, however I have joined the caravan club, but i think the forum might be able to help me further as Im sure others have been in this situation themselves...thankyou Gary

Hi Gary
Welcome to the Forum.
There is so much to see in the British Isles , a caravan makes it all possible with all the creature comforts of home.

Plenty of very knowledgable people on here so feel free to ask whatever you want.
Single or not you'll never be alone. If you get stuck on a problem on a site there will always be a fellow caravannner who will help.
Plenty of excellent Caravan Club sites to explore.
Have lots of fun.

Hi gary. You are the most exciting and nerve wracking end of Caravanning-choosing your first van. Take your time and go to some large dealerships so you can just get in and out of lots of vans until you find the layout that feels right for you. You may not be interested but there are caravanning clubs that run events for single caravanners. Welcome to the forum.

Hi Gary, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum and website and if you need to ask for expert advice you've done exactly the right thing by becoming a forum member here.
There is a wealth of experience within our membership and also plenty of newer caravanners who will pass on their own experiences or perhaps ask about things that you hadn't thought of just yet, so whatever you want to know about caravanning ask away

What caravan did you buy b.t.w.?
Whatever the make I'm sure that you will enjoy it and we hope that you also enjoy using this forum to chat with fellow caravanners.

Hi Gary and welcome to the forum. Any questions you have please don't be shy to post them, nearly always someone with either the answer or able to point you in the right direction.

Robert
