Just received ..........

Hi everyone

We have just received our renewal details for taxing our vehicle. It has gone up this year by an astonishing £25!!! No details enclosed explaining the difference. Have you received yours yet - AND what do you think? Our vehicle is a XC Volvo 70 AWD. Last year it was £170!!! CO immision of 201. Have you experienced a hike?

Ann

On both our Cars they stayed exactly the same this year despite both our cars being taxed after the budget. The main reason is because they are both diesel and have lower CO2 levels.

Thanks Monkey for the information. Our vehicle is also a diesel. So still don't know why it should change. It was purchased new last September (1st) and is due for retaxing 31stAugust this year. Still seems a bit of a hike on last years price.

Thanks for the info, Frank. Our vehicle is classified as 'Validation Character E'; tax class - diesel car! It looks like we are being taxed higher than we should, going by your figures. I think a trip to the post office is now in order I suppose and obtain a copy of the booket giving further information.
Hi Ann

Just go to www.dvla.gov.uk and you can print out the full list of taxes.
