Just saying Hello

Hi guys. I just chanced on this website by accident, and thought it looked an interesting place to frequent.

We've just bought our current 'van, after an 18 month gap, but had others previously. We like to get around the UK, and often France, in the Summer.

We are now based in what is termed 'East of England', exiled from Yorkshire over two years ago.
We had to sell the last 'van pretty much on arriving here, as the Mrs took ill, and we weren' t sure whether we would get out caravanning again. But shes recovered, so we can. And look forward to exploring our new 'patch', with our new (to us), 'van.
And also look forward to gleaning, and offering, advice and tips.

Mike.

Hi Mike
Welcome to the Forum and glad that your wife’s illness has cleared and you can start touring once again. What is your outfit?

Welcome to the forum Mike. Good to hear your wife's illness is now dealt with and hope you enjoy life in your new home even if you did leave Yorkshire. Look forward to further posts from you.

Thanks for the welcomes.

The new (and previous) 'van is a 2 berth Lunar. I know they have the prefix of 'leaky', but that last one was dry, and this one also looks dry. And as we very much liked the old one, we snapped this up as its a couple of years younger, and was a bargain from an old couple who were packing in.
And to be honest, there are very few makes of caravan that you won't find 'leaking' at some point somewhere, to be fair.

Just looking forward to getting this windy weather out of the way, then we can get it out and 'tested'!

Welcome Mike, and Mrs Mike, lets hope all will be well, for the future, lots of lovely sites in East of England. Houghton Mill near Huntingdon, is a fav of ours.
But which Rose are you, Rupulic of Yorkshire, is always a good wind up for our good friends.

We are from a bit further up in the West, near the Lancashire border. Just the right side of the machine gun towers and minefield. 😉
