Hello all. This is a follow up to my previous post where I was concerned about the replacement of my brand new Awning that had damage to the "Fly Screen"

I am very pleased to say that the supplier has been as good as his word and I have this morning collected my new Awning.
I have to admit that I did not expect the problem to be resolved so easily. I have taken on board all your valued comments re-sale of goods act etc but still was expecting a bit of grief getting it sorted.

One problem with these awnings is that they are in short supply and I believe the supplier has had the help of Kampa in sourcing one. So I have now a good deal of time for that company.

I am not sure if forum etiquette allows me to name the supplier i used but if advised by someone that I can then I will post their name as a reply to this post later.
I always say a supplier of any product is only as good as the way they treat you when a problem occurs. The suppliers of my awning have been great. I would have no hesitation in recommending their awning and accessories outlet.
regards to all Brian

Hi Brian. Glad you got it sorted and that the company was really helpful. I think you may have mentioned them in your other posting, Kimberley Caravans? I don't think mentioning good service breaches forum etiquette as long as you have no other connection with the company.
My own experience of Kimberley caravans has also been excellent.

Thank you for your comments Mel,
Yes Kimberly Caravans were great and I have no actual relationship with them other than trawling around the net a few weeks ago trying to find a Kampa Air 260.
When I initially called with the problem I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to help but thinking about it there was nothing they could actually do because they didn't have another in stock and more to the point they couldn't say when they were likely to have any.
I didn't try getting a refund at all, I was only interested in a replacement.
When i next spoke with them they had spoken with KAMPA and arranged the replacement although I had to wait two weeks I still think that was good given that these awnings are still in short supply. Like I mentioned in my other post they even told me to carry on using the awning in the mean time although I didn't, knowing my track record it would have probably blown away or something.
So yes my dealings with Kimberley Caravans was very positive.
When I returned the damaged awning the guy did mention that they may offer it for sale at a reasonable reduction and point out the damage.
Like I have always said the damage was only slight and could be easily repaired with the kit that was included with the awning, hopefully someone could get a good deal.

best regards. Brian
