Hi Forum Members.I am justback from a weeks break and of course with the new awning.I had one or two ask for my personal opinion.Well very pleased with the awning much better than the old 390 and encourages onlookers.Firstly inflation of. well it requires a pressure of 9-11 psi, The awning inflates very quickly but trying to reach that 9-11 psi is something else,as the pump provided I could only manage to get to about 7or 8psi .A mechanical pump sadly is the answer. BUT a slight contradiction in the manual says if you cant reach the 9-11 psi it doesnt matter as long as the awning feels taught .In the week we lost no pressure from the awning at all but as the weather wasnt really at it hottest this may have an efffect as I would expect to lose a couple of pounds during warm weather .I was asked about condensation. There was no condensation in the awning apart from one morning it was very cold and we had the heating running in the van and as soon as we opened the door we had condensation but once aired that had gone .Around ten mins on our first attempt to erect this awning so it would seem no more cussing at each other when putting the awning up .It is a must to have the front storm poles to hold the awning snug against the van and another thing this awning will look brilliant on a really flat pitch but its ok levelling up. Well thats about it about the new Kampa ten of ten from me. Any other questions please ask I will do best to answer any questions with honesty.

Sir Roger.
How did you get on with the step at the bottom of the door did you find it a problem ?
How big is the step ?
Do any of the front sections remove or roll up ?
Are there any escape holes for dogs to get out of ?
Did it seal ok to the side of the van ?

Hi Sir Roger, glad you are happy with the new Kampa, now I'm jealous but will keep my original for a while longer as it is still in good condition, another question for you does it have the fly screen doors like the old one has?

Good day to you Sire .Ok sorry I missed those items in my review but I shall now rectify this for you > Firstly the step at the bottom of the door is around six inches high it wasnt really a problem as we were already aware of it but for doggy owners the dogs tend to try walk through it rather than over it. The centre section does roll up and not like the old 390 it just rolls up out of the way.No escape hatches for the dog at all we took took two dogs with us and not a problem. The storm poles are just like the old 390 apart from the pockets are more easliy accessable and at the bottom the awning is pre holed for the poles to go through .One more thing here as well as far as a ground sheet goes it wouldnt be practical to lay one down after the awning is up.My suggestion would be to get the Kampa 390 Ground sheet and put the awning up on top of it. Well Sir Sprocket I do believe that about covers it. if you think of anything else let me know. I will try and get Lady FFs to have a go at posting pictures on here if we have problems I will send them to you or Kevin email and you can post them for me as I am not good with a P.C.
Regards Sir Roger .

Where abouts are the valves located are they accessible from the inside of the awning for blowing it up ?

Hi Sprocket. The valves for inflating the awning are quite well hidden and they on the front of the awning on the outside there are four in all and you deflate them from the same valves.Hope this helps you.Forgot to mention this and its very important,In the event of a puncture in the awning you can isolate that section. If you look in the roof of my pictures you will see the isolation valves,
Sir Roger
