Kampa Air awning size question

Hi,

I have a Bailey Ranger 470/4 with a straight awning rail length of 390cm.

Does anyone know if the dimensions of the Kampa awnings include the additional webs each side or just the accommodation dimension.

Need to know if a Rally Air Pro 390 will fit or I have to downsize to leave room for the side pieces.

Thanks

Why can the webs not go into the curved part of the rail? Are they not just to assist erecting the awning?

The thing about air awnings is that the end of air "poles" must go flat against the van wall to provide the tension and structure. If the curve of the van prevents this happening, you will be in trouble. The best thing would be to go to an awning supplier show room where one is on display and measure the distance between the poles and also the quantity of extra webbing.
Good luck

I think the potential problem with all porch awnings is will it fit over the door without passing over a window. You need to check if the length of the awning will do that.

Hi all we have a Kampa rally pro air. 3m. On a 7m lunar clubman. It's a great and easy awning. Seconds to put up but it is heavy. Best thing to do is take a tape measure down the side of the van and plan out where you want it to go. On ours it covers half of a window but it's no biggie.

Hi.
Yes, the length is without the wings, or at least it is on our 3.3m model.
We have a Swift Challenger 490.
Whilst a 3.9m would fit, the 3.3 is a better fit.
The van roof line drops at the front so we chose a length that crossed a little used window at the rear but left the front side to fully open.

We have a Kampa air 500, I tent to fit it right to the rear of the caravan so it doesn't go over the window at the front & we've had no issues having the "wing" folded downwards
