Keeping Warm

As I said in my introduction living in a Caravan so can anyone have any useful tips on how to keep warm please?

Got the Gas Fire & have got Curtains up against all the windows & doors & have also got two vectra heaters that I use first & last thing just to take the chill off the rooms.

Stewart, we lived in our caravan for a while last winter, and the best thing we did was to buy a small oil-filled radiator. This was left on all day when we were at work and kept the van at a reasonable temperature. When we got home in the evening, we swapped to the blown-air heating in the van, but at bed time, the little radiator was switched on again instead.

Otherwise, you seem to be doing most of the right things. Do you have an awning? That can help to reduce heat loss every time you open the door. Good luck - we would certainly live in our van in winter again if the need arose. The experience was much pleasanter than we had dared hope!

We have blown air heating, but bought a small oil filled radiator to take away at Xmas, brilliant, we left it on all day and night in the end bathroom, no noise in the night from blown air fans etc. It's even on now we are at home for a few hours every day to keep the van aired.
