Kia- Best deals

I think this is a difficult question to answer. It also depends if its a new vehicle or a second hand one also do you have a trade in do you require finance as the dealer can make more income for himself if you are.I live in central Scotland and have purchased a Sorento from a dealer near Nottingham I have contacted many dealers over the U.K.including imports.Initialy I thought it was a better deal to buy an important with delivery mil, eage However, I feel that the Sorento will lose enough money over a 5 year period as most dealers do not want to accept imports they will in my opinion lose even more.I have noticed also that many dealers are finding it harder to sell 4x4s in the main this is due to the new taxation on them.My way of finding a good deal is firstly decide what model you want to purchase and how much you can afford to spend ( and stick to it )then check the autotrader on line to get the prices of both new and secondhand models. Then let your fingers do the walking Talk to the dealers and when you find the model of choice at a good rate to change push the dealer to add some extras to clinch a deal.I have spoken to many dealers and the price difference can be huge it is also been said that you will get a better deal at the end of the month as dealers need to hit there target. Also watch out for demonstrators and pre registered vehicles as there are many good discounts to be had on them.Whatever you do take your time dont rush it remember the dealer needs your busines more than you need his vehicle so walk away if you have any doubts as there are plenty of vehicles out there.Good luck with your search.

Hi JTS,

When I was looking to buy a new Sportage lst year, I phoned around a lot of Midlands Kia dealers and asked them to match or better the What Car Target price.

I eventually found one, Sandicliffe of Nottingham, who bettered the Target price and gave me the best part exchange value for my old car.

I bought a Sportage from Milton Keynes Kia.

The chap there knew his stuff. I live in the West Country and the local garage would not even bother to compete.

Sportage is excellent so far, but only done 7k miles.

The Caravan Club offer was in their magazine a few months back. It is a voucher which simply says

I'm in the Camping and Caravanning Club too. I've just had a look on their website and their "Club Autosave" no Kia Sorentos on there I'm afraid although you can phone them too. You don't have to be a CCC member to look at the Club Autosave website.

Hi Kar

The voucher was actually a bound-in insert, if that makes sense. It had to be torn out of the binding. I've looked in my back-numbers and found that it was bound between the pages of 34 and 35 of the OCTOBER 2007 Caravan Club Magazine. It was the magazine that contained the Tow Car of the Year Supplement and the Banner headline on the front is Idyllic Italy.

It might be worth posting on here to see if any poster would send you the voucher if they don't need it. Caravanning4u and ukcampsite website forums have, also, had lots of discussions on Sorentos too and it might be worth making the same request on those sites too.

You could have mine if I don't use it but I'm still agonising over getting a new one or nearly new myself.

There are some good possibilities advertised on Autotrader and Parker's websites if you've not looke there.

Hope this is some help.

Happy car hunting

Tim

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

My reply seems to have gone AWOL so I hope this wont be a double post.

I am definitely getting the new Sorrento and joining the CC but one dealer says I just need to show my membership details and another says he needs the voucher, so if anyone has a spare voucher they dont need then please let me know.

Many Thanks.

Hi JTS

Bought my Sportage from Ken Jervis, Stoke-on-Trent like a few others on this thread. Great deal, they're really pushing Kia at the moment with really good deals on the Sorentos and Sportages (7yeear warranty now). Found them (Jervis's) to be very good to deal with.

Unlike Gilbert I've noticed more and more 4 * 4's in our area (Stoke-on-Trent). Probably finding them more suitable for the weather we're having with climate change around here. The place is crawling with 4 * 4's some days everthing from Kia to Range Rover Sports and Cheyennes.

All the best

Tomo
