kia sorento XE auto 03 plate

Looking to replace my car,seen this.Looks good & easy match to tow my sonata melody,any drawbacks or points to check out?

Any comments/pointers/pitfalls?

Hi alison, i can't comment on the auto model, we have always had manuals, we have had 3 sorentos, love them to bits!!

we have had 2 XE manuals, just taken delivery of a brand new XT.

They are a fantastic tow car, we have never had a single problem with any of ours, we tow a twin axle (1810kg).

I would recommend them to anyone!

Hi

Had a Sorento for two years. Loved it as a tow car. Had to get rid of it as it developed a recurring problem with the fuel injectors that resulted in the engine just stopping.......and I mean just stopping where ever we were, fast lane, round about you name it we stopped there!!! In the end just lost faith as the dealers and Kia couldn't solve the problem. (No problems with the dealer they were great and went out of their way to overcome)

Relaced it with a Sedona just as good a tug, if not better but without the advantage of 4x4.

I have an 04 XS auto which has been totally reliable and is a great towcar. Sorentos have had very few recalls, look at VOSA site. Also there is a good UK Kia Sorento forum which will give you a good idea of how others see the Sorrie. I get 22-24mpg towing 1400kg and 30-32mpg solo. Main dealer servicing costs are reasonable and a lot less than my last Disco.
